The Kitten Heel
Has taken over. What a name, though. If the kitten heel refers to short stilettos, or as CR Fashion Book put it, “young girls not ready for grown women’s high heel stilettos”, then stilettos are for full-grown women or “cats” or “pussies”? Is that sexist…this is getting too political, but also SAT. A kitten heel is to the young girl as the stiletto is to a woman. Who knew shoes were so complicated.
I must admit, the little girl in me truly appreciates the kitten heel, they are more comfortable and easier to walk in. Why bother with the tall big sister stiletto, she offers only pedal abuse.
These kittens are another cozy pair courtesy of Naked Feet Shoes, technically Naked Feet Shoes has deemed them mules, maybe they’re just the Maine Coon kitten heels of shoes. I truly am pleased with the quality and architectural/design details of their shoes, and the ombre wooden heal/stem of this pair speaks to those details.
The outfit is a simple one, playing with neutral tones, shocking, and more complete monochrome looks. Both the bag and the pants are thrifted, and aside from the shoes, you’re looking at a very cost-effective outfit.
Well, that’s about all I have to say, aside from the fun fact that my tiny bag is called a baguette. But it’s late and I’m tired. Peace, love, and sleep.
